  I would like my front page, with featured content slideshow at the top, to be a grid of pages (not posts). Is this possible?

  Hi,

  Unfortunately, it’s not possible to create a grid of Featured Content items. In order to have a grind on the Front Page, you need to use “Featured Page” option in the Customizer. Please see “Featured Page” @ https://wordpress.com/themes/venture/support/

  Is there a way to remove the text previews over the images and so that you just have the page title?

  – Please use this custom css to hide page text:

  .front-block.featured-page .entry-summary {
    display: none;
  }
