All my existing posts prior to activating this theme now show up with a featured image above the post header.
Is there a way to remove the post header pic without actually removing the picture from the post itself?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Okay, lots of legwork on this one. :)

That’s a feature of the theme. You can change the settings to excerpt on archives and that will not show double pics but that won’t help on single posts.

Ah yes, I see what you mean about the “archive” ones.. but yes, I’d actually prefer the images to stay in the actual post where I had them rather than having them forced as a featured image. Not sure why they’re all defaulting that way and not being able to remove it..

    Thanks Andrea!

At first, I thought it was pictures that I’d upload would show up on the featured image above the post regardless if i set it or not, and it wouldn’t do that with linked images from outside sources.

Doesn’t actually look like that’s the case.. seems sporadic or random that I have featured images showing up above the posts or not.

I think the image has to be attached to that post.

But i don’t want the attached image to show up as the featured image.. and it’s doing that automatically. It doesn’t even show that it’s set as featured on the side option but here are some examples that it’s doing the weird “featured post image” issue:

The theme is coded to pull the first attached image automatically. I’ve asked Brian to see if we can make this an option to turn off and on.

That would be amazing.. please let me know if that option is made available because if not, I’d really not want to keep the theme unfortunately :( Just doesn’t work with my blog if I can’t turn that on or off..

    Thanks :)

I’m on board with this idea, too. I place my images in specific parts of my posts where they are intended to add impact. Importing them to the beginning of the post is like putting the punch line before the joke….

    Please help!

    Please, help me.

Same for me. I want to be able to turn off the featured picture placement. Otherwise I’ll have to return this theme. Just when I thought I’d finally found one I really like.

    Are there some news?

sillyandrea mentions above that she’s asking the designer about changing that feature, making it optional.

And it looks like that change will happen soon and be an option. B soon, I mean in the next 24 hrs probably.

This is now defined by the Include the Featured Image? option on Theme Options > Content Archives on our Settings page.
