Bio

As a non-profit organization, the Sonoma Land Trust is funded largely by membership contributions. Through this we are able to: develop long term land protection strategies, promote private and public funding for land conservation, acquire land and conservation easements, become involved with stewardship including the restoration of conservation properties, and lastly, promote a sense of place and a land ethic through activities, education, and outreach. Since 1976, the Sonoma Land Trust has protected more than 48,000 acres of beautiful, productive, and environmentally significant land in and around Sonoma County as a member of the California Council of Land Trusts as well as accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
