    Hi everyone,
    I’m hoping someone can help me please.
    On mobile view is it possible to move one or some of the widgets in sidebar to the top rather than right at the bottom below all my posts?
    I’m using Gather theme.
    For example, my menu is right at the bottom and i’d prefer it to be below my logo.
    And FYI i’m not great at CSS…
    Thanks so much,
    Courtney

    Hi Courtney. Because of how the widgets load in the markup, it would be difficult to move a widget above the main content area.

    I’d suggest setting either the “Primary” or “Secondary” menu location with the items you need (under “Appearance > Menus)- and then simply hiding that menu (using CSS) for desktop screens. That will get you a really nice functioning menu on mobile.

    You can hide the menu on desktop screens with this CSS snippet:

    @media screen and ( min-width: 881px ) {
    	.main-navigation {
    		display: none;
    	}
    }

    I figured it out, works perfectly :) thanks again.

    One last question…

    If i want to move a few widgets up the top in mobile view is that possible too? Rather than way down the bottom.

    Hi Courtney. As I mentioned above, because of how the widgets load in the markup, it would be difficult to move a widget above the main content area.

    Although perhaps technically possible by making #content relative and absolutely positing the specific widgets, I would not recommend it since it could cause overlap/spacing issues.
