    I added the text widget in the footer. I added this code to display an image:

    CFC

    I wanted the image to have a link, so I embedded the above into this code:

    CFC

    But a white line appears behind the image. It looks bad, especially since my footer color is dark gray and the image has a transparent background. Can I fix this?

    The blog I need help with is: artrainusa.wordpress.com

    Hello,

    By default, links come with a bottom border. Please use this custom css to remove border from your links:

    .footer-widgets .widget_text a {
      border: none;
    }

    Thanks,
    Taras

    Thank you. Where do I embed the css? I am working with HTML in the widget and wasn’t sure.

    You can add a class clean-link to your a tags in the footer widget area, so there is no need to add a custom css. We’ve just updated a theme, so it should be available soon.

    Example:

    <a href="https://artrainusa.wordpress.com/" class="clean-link">
    <img src="https://artrainusa.files.wordpress.com/2016/06/cfc-approved-charitycropped-logo_transparent-e1466537487295.png">
    </a>

    Thanks,
    Taras
