Welcome Area of Front Page not working

No widget is showing up in the welcome section of my main page. I would like my page to look like the theme I purchased. In the demo version, the welcome area has a text widget that says, “Self-confessed Starbucks addict. Sarah McLachlan fan. Lover of WordPress. Nomad Theorist. Founder of StudioPress. If you are interested, read more about me…”. How do I get this?

You have a specific page set as the home page. This overrides the theme’s home.php template. Go to Settings -> Reading and pick “your latest posts” so the template can kick in.
Then you need to set up those widgets according to the docs:
