Updating to Font Awesome 5.0

    Hi!
    Our site greenbelt.org has been using the collective theme for a few years now. Recently our FA icons broke – specifically the brand icons (facebook, twitter, etc) – because in the Font Awesome 5.0 release the class for these icons changed. The version we have running (I believe it’s the most updated version) still uses FA 4.0.
    Will collective be updated to include the new 5.0 classes? Thanks.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately, we were not made that Font Awesome was being updated within the WordPress.com environment. So, I apologize for the inconvenience. We will look into updating the theme, but it may take some time.

    In the meantime, can you try installing the following plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-font-awesome/

    The plugin should load Font Awesome 4.0 icons as well as 5.0. So, the 4.0 icons will display in the meantime.
