unable to establish a gallery in DesignFolio theme

The only way I could establish a gallery was on the home page with the widgets appearing for that page only. I tried to deleted the home page with stem the url ginapaintings.com and then found I could not replace it with another page. So I cannot establish a gallery on that page as I cannot edit it. Nor can I establish a gallery on any other pages.
please advise.

I think there are a couple issues here, first the gallery…
To add a gallery please make sure you are following the instructions here exactly: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/#adding-a-gallery-or-slideshow
We have a gallery on the demo site, so I know there’s not an issue with the theme specifically: https://designfoliodemo.wordpress.com/gallery/
To create or change a custom homepage you can follow the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#setting-up-a-static-front-page
It sounds like you might be using the “widgetized page” template, I would recommend that you change that to the default template for now.
