Two Suggestions

I’m currently using the Outspoken theme created by you guys. I have two suggestions that could make the theme a little better.

    1. When there is no excerpt, the description which is used by the theme is the first or so sentence. However, that sentence which is used ends quite absurdly with a random word. Maybe you could add “…” to the end of those post listings.

    2. The use of breadcrumbs, aids in google searches becoming much more useful and contextually better. For eg. Home >> Category >> Post Name, would be amazing.

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: dailyanimeart.com

    1. I added “…” to the end of the text
    2. There are plugins for breadcrumbs functionality, though I’m not sure how well plugins work for wordpress.com. Anyway I don’t think this is worth adding to the theme at this point.

Thanks @shroote will the “…” take affect immediately? I am still unable to see it. Are you also able to review the theme to make it more SEO friendly or is that a little much to ask?

wordpress.com must deploy the code, change for excerpts will be visible after that. What would make theme more SEO friendly?

I ran a quick gtmetrix report for my own blog, one with ads and the second without ads. There are a few things here and there that could help.
    Ads: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/dailyanimeart.com/H7EQDaUJ
    Adblock: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/dailyanimeart.com/Dhi3FtEz

    Hopefully that helps.

I don’t see anything that I could fix, I’m looking at the adblock version.
“Remove query strings from static resources” / “Specify image dimensions” / “Serve scaled images” – theme uses default WordPress functionality for image resizing, nothing to do here.
“Defer parsing of JavaScript” – not theme’s javascript files.
“Minify JavaScript” – not theme’s javascript files.
“Optimize the order of styles and scripts” – wordpress.com CSS files, nothing to do about it in theme.
    etc.

I guess WP has a lot of control over the coding and theme, if it’s impossible to change then I guess there isn’t a lot left. Thanks for your help.
