Trying to add second author byline to blog post
-
Hi there,
I’m looking to add a second author byline to a blog post. It doesn’t seem like there’s any way to do this in the options, but is there a CSS way to just duplicate the existing byline with a different author name?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Wow. Okay then. I was going to write something snarky, but this is just very, very disappointing. It’s an extremely basic need of almost all publishing to be able to share a byline.

If you were self hosted using the software from wordpress.org and not here on wordpress.com then there is a plugin you could add to do so.
it’s not really a function of the theme itself. It;s just not available at wordpress.com.

Hello,
Is there a way to completely remove the author’s name from the top of a post (beside the date)? I am using this theme for a class newspaper and would like to publish students’ names at the end of the article and NOT have my name attached.
Please tell me there is a way.
Thank you…

You can hide it using css if you have the design upgrade.
.author { display:none;}
Alternatively, you can change the display name in the user settings to something generic like “Staff Writer”.

Hello again,
Thank you for responding so quickly.
I have the upgrade, but the code isn’t working for me. I’ve tried several variations of the same thing over the last week, but none of the codes had any effect at all.
The author’s name isn’t visible on the main page but is on the post page…
I don’t know if this will help but here is my site address: http://ebvvoice.wordpress.com
Thank you for your time.

Your site is only accessible to members so I can’t see it. It would help though.
The code I gave I tried on a test site first.

Okay, I just made the site public (I think). I really appreciate your help with this especially since I know I am doing something wrong.
