    Appologies for the delay in updating my oringal thread. I have been busying learning Illustrator to do my own design work so thats why my original thread was not updated in ages!

    Anyways, I now have a poster I want to insert into the center of my blogs homepage but the annoying thing is that it get is rescaled for some reason or another when I do not want it to!

    I want it to fill in as much of the white space afforded to it as possible!
    Can you please assist with that at all?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Seems like I am new to wordpress.com forums, my original thread is linked in the previous post. The link text is oddly enough the last two sentences so lol go figure!

    Anyways, headover onto my blog: http://www.frootpipe.com and you will see what my problem.

    Once again appologies for not getting back to you sooner. I did not have a poster to display in the first place so I decided put my blog on hold till I acquired the necessary design skills needed.

    Anyways, thanks in advance.

    well it looks slightly better now but there is still so much whitespace getting wasted. I know this because my poster has the exact same dimensions as the header :).

    Any ideas on how I could get my poster to display close to its original dimensions and not in its current scaled down form?

    Another quick update:

    I just noticed that if attach a caption to my poster image, I notice that the original dimensions of my image come through. Although the image layout foes off the page to the right hand side so it no longer fits within the bounds of the blog page.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your question. I’d be happy to help.

    When you insert the image, are you inserting it as Full Size?

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/

    Also, do you have the CSS upgrade from WP.com?

    Kind Regards

    oh cool thanks for link I will take a look at that.

    Yes I believe I am and also I do have the css upgrade option.

    I am inserting it as full size but it definitely is getting cropped somehow … I don’t know. Is there any way I can verify that I am inserting it properly? I mean the dashboard is soo easy to use but only images have given me the most trouble so far. Everything else has been a troublesoom and a pain …

    It is possible but not so easily with this theme? Can you set a page to have a feature image that spans across the top of a page somehow? Like a banner? Do you know what I mean? This might solve my image cropping problem I am having!

    Hey again,

    Let’s try Custom CSS. This should help:

    .home #main.fullwidth {
    width: 100%;
    padding: 0;
    }

    Thanks again!
