    Hello,

    As much as I love the theme TheFour, I am having a hard time customizing it. I truly need help. Thank you in advance!

    1. How to show 9 blog posts on the home page? It only allows me to show 7 now.

    2. On the front page as well as the Features page , which are both on the home page, the header text shows twice. Once on the header picture and then another time below it. I would like to remove the features page content. So the text won’t show twice. I just want the phrase to show on the picture.
    When I tried to remove it and delete this page where it appears, the page layout changed and the blog posts appeared each on a line while before they were 3 posts on each line.

    3 . Is there a way to always keep 3 blog posts on each row, so I have 9 blog posts (so 3 rows and 3 columns) ? This webpage won’t be used as a blog but a regular website.

    I am the web admin, Karine.

    The blog I need help with is: valerieogden.ca

    Hi Karine,

    Thanks for using TheFour. Regarding your questions:

    1. Currently, the number of posts shown on the home page is fixed by 6. I’m not sure why it displays 7 on your site. But I will add a new option for the theme to choose how many posts are displayed.

    2. You can remove the Features section simply by going to Customize > Theme Options and select nothing in the dropdown for “Features Page”.

    3. Do you mean displaying posts in a grid on the Blog page? Or on the home page? I’m quite confused as the home page now displays posts in a grid already.

    Thanks,
    Anh

    Hello Anh,

    Thank you. I was able to remove the feature section.
    Now after having removed the feature section there is a white (blanc) space left under the header image. Just before the blog posts. Is there a way of removing this extra space as it pushes the blog posts too low on the page?

    I was able to resolve the other issues mentions on my previous question.

    Looking forward to your comments.

    Thank you again.

    Karine

    Anh, is there a way of increasing the fonts size of the menu (top right side). It is not that visible now.

    Hi Karine,

    Is there a way of removing this extra space as it pushes the blog posts too low on the page?

    Yes, please go to Customize > CSS and add the following CSS:

    .section.call-to-action { display: none; }

    is there a way of increasing the fonts size of the menu (top right side). It is not that visible now.

    Yes, please add this CSS to Customize > CSS:

    .main-menu a { font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold; }

    You can change the size to something that looks best. The font-weight part makes the font bolder to easy to read. You can remove it if you want.

    Helo Anh,

    Is it possible to add a shadow around the headers text so they are more visible when the picture has a white background. Now the text looks lost and not that visible. Do you know the css for that?
    Here is one of the pages where the problem occurs:

    Thanks!

    Hi Karine,

    Please try this CSS:

    .header-inner h1, .header-inner h2 {
        text-shadow: 0 1px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3);
    }

    You can adjust 0.3 to 0.5 or any value from 0.0 to 1.0.

    Hope that works!
