    Hi Here,

    It’s me again !
    Some readers of my blog asked me to add a translate feature. So they didn’t see the widget at the bottom of the page.

    Is it possible to add a widget section on the top of the page, near the search bar, on the left ?

    Thanks,
    Sabrina

    The blog I need help with is myoxybubble.com.

    Hi Sabrina!

    Yes, it’s possible to use CSS to make the widget appear there, but only before the responsive breakpoint when the menu button appears again.

    The way the theme is structured unfortunately prevents footer widgets from being positioned outside the area while also allowing the slide out menu to function normally.

    Try this and let me know how it works out for you:

    @media (min-width: 1000px) {
    	body .site-footer,
    	body .footer-wrap {
    		position: static;
    	}

    	body .widget_google_translate_widget {
    		position: absolute;
    		top: 84px;
    		padding: 0;
    		border: 0;
    		right: 78px;
    		z-index: 3;
    	}

    	body .widget_google_translate_widget .widget-title {
    		display: none;
    	}
    }

    Regards,
    Leland

    No, it is not possible with Custom CSS alone, while also keeping the “slide out” menu. I’m sorry, I tried to explain in my previous post and I wasn’t clear.

    The “slide out” menu can’t work at the same time as the absolute-positioned Google Translate widget. So the Google Translate widget is only visible in the custom location at wider widths when the “horizontal menu” is still there.
