transfer theme to another WP acct. .zip file

    How do I download this theme as a .zip file so I can upload to another acct. Will deactivate current account it is on, not sure if it automatically deletes itself once downloaded.

    Please tell me how I can transfer this theme… do not see any obvious ways to do this.

    Hi there,

    WordPress.com does not allow you to download the theme files like that. Are you looking to move to a self-hosted option instead of wordpress.com?

    no, i was not ever hosted by wordpress, it was a mixup. WordPress created a new acct instead of logging me into existing.

    I would like a refund then so I can transfer and repurchase this same theme, we like it for our purposes.

    To clarify, we just began the set up of the theme days ago and have not fully utilized the theme… very recent purchase, within a month.

    According to wordpress there is an option to download themes, determined by you but no, its not wordpress denying this option as there is a place to ‘import themes’ within wordpress as a .zip file. Its possible.

    If you’re within the refund window here, you can ask wordpress.com for a refund. They do not give us the option to allow theme file downloads here. I’m not sure where you got that. However, we do offer Publisher for sale and download on our site at arraythemes.com. You’ll get a zip file that you can use on your WordPress site not hosted here on wordpress.com.

    Refunds are available within 30 days of theme purchase. Since you purchased the theme on June 17, it’s outside of the refund period and that’s why you’re not seeing a refund link.

    Themes purchased on WordPress.com can only be used on sites hosted here on WordPress.com.

    Could you please clarify whether you want to:

    1) activate Publisher on a different site hosted here at WordPress.com, OR

    2) download a zip file of the theme so you can install the theme on a site hosted elsewhere, where the WordPress software is running on your own hosting. This is called a self-hosted site, and you can learn about the differences between the two types of WordPress sites here:

    Depending on your answer, I can either issue you credits to repurchase the theme on another WordPress.com site, or issue you a manual refund so you can repurchase the theme elsewhere for your self-hosted site.

    The correct acct for our needs is already connected to our own hosting this theme was purchased under an incorrect acct. as aforementioned.

    The refund has been issued and Publisher is removed from kohelhaver.wordpress.com.
