Hi All,

Can I transfer Encore theme to a new website?

I want to close the old website and transfer Encore to a new WP website, can I do this?

Sure. Is the new website where you want to use Encore on this same WordPress.com account? If so, I can add credits to your account so you can purchase it on the other site, then after it’ll be removed from the site it’s currently on.

Let me know if you’d like to do that and I’ll get the credits on your account! :)

Hi Rob! I see Encore on your site where your domain (robjkennedy.com) is too, so it might already be in the right spot.

See here: https://wordpress.com/design/robjkennedy.com

From there, if you go to Themes, you’ll see Encore is selected. Any edits you make in this dash area will be to robjkennedy.com/using this theme. :)

Here is my website admin for themes http://www.robjkennedy.com/wp-admin/themes.php

The user name is (email visible only to moderators and staff) the password is [password removed]

In there you will see I do not have the Encore them. It looks like the only way I can get it running is to upload it, which I don’t have, so can you send me a link so I can do that?

I do not want to use http://www.robjkennedydotcom.wordpress.com

Can you do that?

http://www.robjkennedy.com is not a site hosted here on WordPress.com, it’s a site with the WordPress software running on your own hosting.

Themes purchased here on WordPress.com can only be used here. If you need Encore for your self-hosted site you’ll need to purchase it directly from the developer:

Your purchase of Encore on WordPress.com is past the 30-day refund window, and the seller has already received their payment for it. Given that, perhaps they’d be willing to give you a discount on the self-hosted version, but that’s up to them.
