Top Content Block

    I am trying to adjust the location of the top content block. The content block with text over the featured image on the landing page. I’ve been working with .content-caption and .entry-content in CSS but I can’t figure out how to move the content block down and stretch it out so that it runs along the seam in the images that make up my featured image.

    The blog I need help with is greencorpschicago.org.

    Hi,

    thank you for using our theme.

    Can you please explain me a bit more what you want to achieve, not sure that I understand you good or if you can, send me the link to the screenshot. You can’t change the position of the top content block easy as it is coded to be at the top of the page.

    All the best,
    Ana

    Thanks Ana,

    I want to change the position of the text box over the featured image. On our site the text says “Greencorps Chicago is the City of Chicago’s green job training program for individuals with barriers to employment.”

    I’d like to move this text farther down the image.

    Hi,

    thank you for explaining more, now I know what you mean.

    You can use this in the Custom CSS:

    .content-caption {
       margin-top: 200px;
    }

    and change 200px with 300px if you need to move it more down

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,
    Ana

    Thanks Ana, that does help. I tried adding margin-right: 200px to adjust the length of the text box but that didn’t work. Is there another way to make the box wider? I’d like a shorter, wider text box.

    Hi,

    you can add this to the Custom CSS:

    .content-caption {
        max-width: 50%;
    }

    and play with the 50 number.

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,
    Ana
