MemberHaving a problem with a slide show. I receive an error that the slide show require JavaScript. This does not happen when logged into my wordpress.com account but as soon as I logout, the problem comes up (so essentially everyone who visits the slideshow page.
The URL for the page is http://dailywildcatalumni.org/2014-hall-of-fame-event/.
I started a thread below and was directed by an Engineer to post in this thread:

MemberVery same problem: http://saicf.wordpress.com
footer ends in: JS?VER=201407X’> and a small smiley face below that
Thanks.
-fbAny update on a fix for this?

MemberNo yet, still trying to nail it down.
Saicf – the smiley face is part of the stats tracking, not the theme itself.
I can’t even do a simple photo gallery because of this error. It works perfectly fine when I’m logged in – click on the first photo and you quickly see the photo, caption, and an arrow to advance or go back. But if not logged in you have to click on the individual photos. The photo loads slowly, no arrow to get to the next one, shows the title (which we don’t want) but usually not the caption. Not acceptable.
http://dailywildcatalumni.org/2014-hall-of-fame-event/We’re trying to be patient, but this is really creating problems for us in our outreach. Is there a theme similar to this one that you are sure works? I hate to think about switching at this point, but if I have to I will. Thanks.

MemberWe do have the theme team looking at it, but it sounds like there are newer issues?
I’m not sure switch to a new theme would solve them if there are caching issues from being logged in or not. The theme is not supposed to show anything different based on logged in status.

This is not a caching issue as this does not work from any of the 20 computers in our office. I have tried from a PC and MAC. Tried on IE, Chrome and Firefox and still getting the same issue. Cleared the cache and made sure that Java is updated and enabled in all browsers.

MemberWe are having the same experience as dailywildcatalum. We get the error on the the same operating systems and browsers named above (although we may not be on the same versions and releases.) When we first installed and ran slide shows with this theme, everything worked fine. The error has appeared recently, and affects both current and previously installed shows.
For now, we are using gallery instead of slide show. But we really want that slide-show capability back.
Thanks.
