The section "Latest" shows more posts than it should…

    I have my blog set up in a way that it should only show 5 of the latest posts. This worked. The “latest” section basically showed 5 thumbnails. But now it shows 17 posts, which is wrong.

    It seems like I had this exact same bug already happen in the past because I created a forum post about this back then: https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-latest-sections-shows-too-many-posts/

    At that time, the bug disappeared from alone. Not sure why it happened again now.

    Hi there – I think this might be a similar thing. I don’t know why this has changed but a couple of people have mentioned it.

    The theme hasn’t had any changes recently that should affect this but it seems to be related to the infinite scroll settings. I think the infinite scroll code might have been changed to use the settings in a different way but I have no way of confirming this.

    However I have made some tweaks to the theme that might help address this problem and I am waiting for the WordPress.com team to publish them.

    We will have to wait and see if it fixes things.

    Yeah – sorry. I’m still waiting for the fix to be published too :S

    In addition the bug has been acknowledged here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/16686#issuecomment-668428716

    It’s a bug with Infinite Scroll rather than the theme, and so is affecting a number of themes on WordPress.com

    Hopefully a proper fix will happen at some stage but since I don’t work for WordPress.com I have no influence over this.

    No worries, I’ve always been happy with your support. Also a compliment, I’ve been using Beacon for a very long time now and I am still not tired of it. Such a beautiful minimalist theme. Let’s see, if WP is at it, they hopefully fix their bug.
