    Dear Taras,

    Suddenly we have “von Themes Harbor.” in the footer of our website.

    Why that? And how to delete that?

    Thanks,
    Raphael

    The blog I need help with is: ledergerber-partner.ch

    Hi Raphael,

    Have you tried to hide it via the Customizer: Site Identity > Footer Credit ?

    Thanks,
    Taras

    Hi Taras,

    Yes, we had it before hidden and it’s still hidden in the settings.

    Best regards,
    Raphael

    Raphael,

    I’ve tagged this post for a WordPress.com staff member to look at.

    Thanks,
    Taras

    Hi Raphael,

    Add the following CSS to your site via Customize > Additional CSS.

    It should keep your copyright information while hiding the unwanted text.

    /* Style Footer Copyright and Links */
    .footer-bottom .social-links:before {
        color: #E0E1E3;
        content: "© Ledergerber & Partner GmbH. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.";
    }
    .footer-bottom .site-info {
        display: none;
    }
    @media screen and (min-width: 769px) {
        .footer-bottom .pull-right {
            float: none !important;
        }
        .footer-bottom .social-list {
            float: right;
        }
    }

    Then comes a error message that the CSS code is uncorrect regarding the { or } … How’s the correct code?

    @dcoleonline
    Thank you for the css code! Also, I am wondering, do you know why this credits text appears even it’s hidden in the settings?

    Raphael,
    Also, here is an alternative version of removing the credit link:

    .site-info {
      font-size: 0;
    }

    .site-info a {
      display: none;
    }

    .site-info:before {
      font-size: 11px;
    }

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Taras

    No, it doesn’t change anything. Not removed and also the same error message there.

    Raphael,

    The reason why it does not change anything is because some of your custom css is missing { or } .

    Thank you,
    Taras

    @tarasdashkevych: Thanks for the even shorter CSS. The developers are working on a way to get the Footer credits hidden for sites that can upload themes and plugins. For all other sites, it will continue to work as it did before.

    @raphaelledergerber: Your CSS wouldn’t save because there was an error in it. I’ve corrected it for you and your footer text is back to normal.
