Tagline not displaying and Customizer problems (Studio Theme)

    The Studio theme site identity tagline is not displaying on my website.

    There’s definitely some kind of bug in Customizer that’s impacting published code. I’m using Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 on OSX with similar behavior in Safari 9.1.3 (10601.7.8)

    Unlike most themes there is no toggle in the Studio customizer to turn the tagline on and off.

    In the customizer preview I can see the following code under .site-title :

    .wf-active .site-description {
        font-family: "fertigo-pro","fertigo-pro-1",sans-serif;
        font-weight: 400;
        font-style: normal;

    In my case, in the customiser preview that’s rendered

    <h2 class="site-description ">Web Design and Social Media</h2>

    But this code is missing entirely from the published version of the page.

    I delete the tagline in the customizer, save and refresh and it remains in the customizer and preview anyway.

    I think it’s a problem with the customizer and caching somehow because I selected a favicon for the site and removed it yet it appears in the customizer (but again– not the published version of the page).

    When I surf to “General Settings” in WP-Admin the favicon disappears. When I open the customizer it reappears.

    I deleted the tagline from “General Settings” and now when I re-add it in the customizer and save and publish it doesn’t appear in the customizer preview anymore (yet the favicon remains). So I returned to “General Settings” and rea-dded it there and now it appears in the customizer but not the published site.

    In addition, when the published page loads in Chrome and Safari the page flashes the default font on the sidebar before loading the custom font (Fertigo in my case).

    I should add that Studio weirdly puts the display tickbox for the tagline NOT under Site Identity where almost every other theme puts it, but under Left Sidebar Options. When I had all the problems above the display tagline button was ticked so it should have displayed. I unticked it and re-ticked it and it finally appeared. I saw another ticket where another user had a similar problem as mine. Even if you actually find the tickbox, just having it ticked does not guarantee the code will be displayed. Is this a matter of being able to fuss with the tagline in two places in Customizer AND in WP-Admin? There’s a bug for sure.

    Sorry for the wait! Thanks for sending through all of this info! I’ve sent a note to our development team to look into this as a potential bug. We will investigate and hopefully have a fix soon!
