Switching to Self-Hosted
First of all, thanks for the gorgeous blog design. My blog isn’t about healthy living, but it still seems to work perfectly for what I need!
On that note, I’m trying to switch to wordpress.org, and learned this theme doesn’t transfer. Is there anything that can be done about this? I’ve read that many developers are okay with having their designs used on self-hosted blogs, and I’m hoping you are one of them, because I am not okay with the idea of having wasted $70 and not being able to use this theme anymore.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
The blog I need help with is myuninspiredblog.com.
thanks for purchasing this theme, happy you like it.
WordPress.com is a closed platform and themes sold here are optimized to be used on this platform. Therefore it is not possible to download the theme and use it on a standard hosting.
To use Healthy Living on a standard hosting you’d need to purchase self-hosted version of the theme, so called WordPress.org version. On our site we sell self-hosted theme version of Healthy Living http://www.anarieldesign.com/themes/simple-and-fresh-blogging-theme/.
It is not up to a developer, no theme can be transferred from WordPress.com to a standard hosting.
However WordPress.com offers 30 days money back guarantee. If you purchased Healthy Living within the last 30 days you can easily get a full refund for your purchase.
For more info please contact WordPress.com support.
Hope this helps a bit.
All the best,
