MemberHello Themezee
I like the theme and the layout….However, it’s rather old and I was curious about stability of it moving forward with support and updates?
Thoughts?

Theme AuthorHi there,
Thanks so much for using Tortuga.
We have released quite a lot updates this year to make the theme compatible with the new WordPress Block Editor, so it is updated and supported.
Cheers,

MemberOriginal posterThanks,
I also want to ask about the logo space at the top above where the header images are. What is the right size for an image for that space? I want to create my own but it seems to always get resized and shows up real small when a add it.
Thoughts?

Theme AuthorHello Dave,
Yes, the theme sets a maximum width of 400 pixel to fit large logo images into the container.
You can change that with this short CSS snippet:
.site-branding .custom-logo { max-width: 500px; }
You can insert it on Customize > CSS.
So to not get resized, you have to use a image smaller than 400px. I also recommend to skip image cropping once you upload it, so WordPress keeps the original image dimensions.
If you upload a larger image and it gets resized to 400px it is also not a problem. In fact, that is not bad because the logo image will be sharper on Retina displays.
Best,

MemberOriginal posterThanks, also any way to get search bar on the header as opposed to in a widget on side or footer?

Theme AuthorThe theme does not have options for that, but it might be possible with extra plugins:
