Stop repeating articles on front page in static page format

    I really like Zuki, it has such flexibility, really impressive. You did a great job.

    I now have Zuki operating, but I am having a four issues.

    1. Is there anyway to stop repeating articles. For example, I have the lead article as the most recent article and am using the large format post — I did not choose a category as I wanted the most recent posting to appear here. In the next section, I am using the medium image setting. I did not choose a category as I want the most recent posts to appear here as well. However, it is repeating the post that is the first Large format post area at the top. The third area where I did choose a category, has articles repeating as well thought not as many. The bottom section which again I did not choose a category is basically repeating all the articles in the second section.

    Is it possible to stop the articles from repeating?

    2. Is there anyway to stop “Front” from appearing in my Trending article list.

    3. The spacing on the articles seems to be a bit wonky as well. There is a large white space appearing to the right of the article when you go to view the article.

    Is this any way to treat your friends?

    4. Is it possible to have video appear on the front page in the static format? So they can just click on the video and view it on the front page without having to open the page.

    I wanted to add, I have tried using the Visibility feature to exclude categories and articles, but everytime I use it, the area goes blank and nothing appears.

    I have used it including a Category or slug and without including one. But no matter what I do, it goes blank when I use the the hide or show feature in the visibility mode.

    I should mention the more I play around with this theme, the more I like it.

    Clarification it goes blank in that no articles appear.

    Hi there,

    1. unfortunately you can not exclude categories or tags, the only option you would have it so add additional, new categories to your posts, so that you can choose unique categories for your Post widgets on the Front page (e.g. you can add the category “featured” for the slider ).

    2. “Front” should not be an article, only your page, or? It is strange that it also has a thumbnail image. Do you know where the image is coming from?

    3. The white space at the right of the posts is intended in the design. This way you can add bigger images (max. width is 840px) e.g. as a post featured image or as images with the additional div container with a CSS class of “wide-content”.

    4. Unfortunately it’s not possible in the Zuki theme to add video posts. The only option is to add a regular post with a video in the content area and then add a still of your video as a Featured Image.
