Spacing between posts on main page and elements on sidebar

    Hi,
    I’m using Atlas for my WordPress.com site, thearcfooty.com. I love the theme, thank you for creating it!

    I would like to make two changes, if possible:

    1) Reduce the space between posts on the main page. The theme seems to leave a lot of whitespace between posts (particularly posts without a featured image) and I would like to reduce this substantially.

    2) Reduce the space between elements on the sidebar. For example, the space between the site logo and the links to pages (“Home” and “About” in my case).

    Is it possible to make these changes? If so, could you please help me? I am using WordPress.com premium, so I have the ability to add custom CSS.

    Thank you,
    Matt

    Thanks so much for your kind words. So happy to hear you are loving Atlas. :)

    As for the changes:

    1) You can modify the post spacing with this snippet:

    .hentry {
        margin-bottom: 50px;
    }

    The default is 100px, so in this example we’ve reduced that by half.

    2) For the sidebar, there are a few elements to tweak. For the space between your logo and menu you can use this:

    .sidebar-content {
        padding-top: 30px;
    }

    And for the menu, social media menu and widgets you can use this:

    .widget,
    .main-navigation ul,
    #social-media {
        margin-bottom: 30px;
    }

    The theme’s defaults for both of these is 65px. Make sure to replace 30px with whatever looks best to you. This number can go all the way down to 0.

    Let me know if that worked!
