SlideShow Set Up
When I am creating a new page and putting on the slideshow attribute template, the page is still blank and i don’t see the slideshow appear. Do you know how I can see it ?
The blog I need help with is mydisinfectionchamber.com.
Please make sure you’ve followed these instruction, after applying the Slideshow template to your page:
1. Click Add Media to upload your images to the page.
2. Once uploaded, select Uploaded to this page from the drop down menu in the Media Library tab.purpose-slideshow2
3. You may then drag and drop the images in the order you like.
4. Close the Insert Media window and Publish or Update the page. When you view the page, the slideshow should now appear showing the photos you uploaded.
Note: You do not need to insert the slideshow images into the page itself. Images uploaded to the Media Library of the page will automatically be added to the slideshow.
Let me know if you need further assistance, thanks!
I have been trying hard to find the “Add Media” button but cannot find it. I have already applied the Slideshow template to my page.
I also cannot find the “Insert Media” button.
This is likely because the previous instructions refer to the classic editor, and the new WordPress versions are now using the Gutenberg editor. In this case, you will need to do the following instead:
Add the slideshow gallery by using the Shortcodes block, and listing the image ID numbers within the shortcode. You can find the image number by selecting “Media” in the dashboard, then clicking on an image. The number displayed within the URL at the top is the image number. The following Codex page explains the Gallery Shortcode in greater detail: https://codex.wordpress.org/Gallery_Shortcode. It should look like this:
