    Hello :)

Can you confirm that you’ve assigned your featured category (the one you specified in your customizer panel) with your various posts, and that those posts have featured images assigned to them?

    Thanks!

…and now it’s not appearing again. I tried to rearrange images again. Even created a new page and set it as Slideshow Template again and nothing is showing on my site. Please advise.
Also, can I add static text below the slideshow?

    Hello,

There are two types of slideshows on this theme. The featured slideshow which displays on the homepage template which displays images from posts, or the image slideshow from the Slideshow Page Template which displays images uploaded to the page itself. If you have assigned a category to the ‘slideshow category’ under Appearance > Theme Options you will need to make sure your home page is set to the Home Page Template and not the Slideshow Page Template.

You can then display content bellow the slider by selecting the option in Appearance > Theme Options to display the Homepage Content and whatever text is added to the page using the Home Page Template will display here.

Let me know if you have any questions with this still.

    Thanks,

    Rebecca

I have the front page set to Slideshow Page Template and uploaded images myself to images in this post. Do I need to change it to Home Page Layout? I do not want the slider to show other images other than what I have selected specifically for the slider. I would like to add text below the slider.

    Hello,

It looks like you have got it setup on your site from what I can see. You can keep the slideshow page template and it will display the images you have uploaded to the page through the ‘Add Media’ tab.

To add content simply select the option to ‘Display Slideshow Content’ under Appearance > Theme Options > Page Options and you’ll be able to display the content you have in the page.

    Thanks,

    Rebecca

Great, that worked. Now for a dumb question, how do I create text with different font and size?

    Hello,

You can wrap specific sections of your text with html to change the font size. It would look something like this:

    <div style="font-size: 1em;">Text Here</div>

This will display the text between the div in a 1em size font. You can edit as desired.

You’ll find all the information you need on using custom fonts here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/.

    Thank you,

    HI Rebecca,
I would like to adjust the text to use multiple fonts and sizes within the post below the slider. I do not wish to change the font or size of all text on my website as indicated within Appearance—Customize—Fonts. Would you please advise how to customize ONLY the text within a post?
    Thank you

    Hello,

In the same way as you did the edit for the font-size you would add the styling for the font-family also. For example:

    <div style="font-size: 1em; font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Text Here</div>

Only the text within this div will have the font in question. You’ll need to make sure you have access to the fonts you decide to use however.

    Thanks,

    Rebecca

I’m not super familiar with coding. Is this done within the HTML or Text tab? And this code or command is entered for each line of text if not all in one line? Thanks. Sorry for the extreme lack of knowledge. You are being very helpful.

    Hi L,

You would wrap this around your text in the Text tab when you are creating a new post or page. The opening div would be at the beginning of your text, the closing one (</div>) would be at the end of the text you want to display in that font or size. It doesn’t need to be in the same line, it can be a paragraph after.

You can find more information and tutorials on using html here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/beginning-html/.

    Thanks,

    Rebecca

    Hello!

To create a page using the slideshow page template, you will need to follow these steps:

    1) Create a new page and assign it to the Slideshow Page Template under the Page Attributes menu.
    2) Using the ‘Add Media’ button, upload NEW media images which you want to display in your slideshow.
    3) Create the gallery and order as desired.
    4) ‘X’ out of the media uploader window. There is not need to insert into page, simply close the window.
    5) Publish your page.

You should now see a slideshow in the page as shown in the demo (https://photographerdemo.wordpress.com/slideshow/).

If you are using existing images or galleries it won’t display properly which is probably the issue you are having.

    Thank you!
