Slideshow in my posts

  1. Hi,

    I am setting up my site and have set up my first post. I have two objectives to achieve with them and hope you can help.

    1. Have feature image shown on the home page NOT on the post page.
    2. Show the images (I have 6 in total) as a slideshow.

    Can anyone help me do this?

    Thanks!

    Mark

  2. Hey Mark,

    You can remove the featured image from your posts by adding the following CSS to your stylesheet:

    /* Hide featured image and expand content area */
    .entry-page.thumbnail { width: 100%; }
    .entry-page-image { display: none; }

    As for adding them to a carousel/slideshow, you may want to read this tutorial on galleries in WordPress, which can explain how to insert a carousel into your post.

    Have a read of that and let me know how things go!

  3. Andy, thanks for your message & sorry for the delay in replying. Work has gone a little mad.

    I have looked at the tutorial for the slideshow which seems to be simply ticking a box in the settings. Would seem my theme is not co-operating on this as that was already done & my posts set up as a gallery. Any thoughts?

  4. Ignore that last post. I have it fixed now - just uploaded all the images at once and the option to have a slideshow appeared!!

  5. Great, Mark! It sounds like you've set up your slideshow, is that right? Do you have any more questions for us? Thanks!
