Slideshow background color

    Hi Ellen,

    we changed the background color for the slideshow gallery widget in the blog’s footer by custom css (same color as the colophon so that the slideshow’s frame and background don’t show up), however this change shows only on the front page, but not on any other page or post.

    Also, if we don’t change this widget’s style by custum css but just choose white background in Settings/Media, the color remains black on all pages (this is not an option that we want to choose anyway, I’m just mentioning it because there might be a connection with the problem mentioned first).

    Do you have any idea what might have caused this and how we can change it?

    Thanks for helping and best,

    Hi Claudia,
    I see the issue, could you let me know, which CSS code you exactly included? Did you add !important to your new rules already to overwrite the current black color of the slideshow?

    I think if you let me know the CSS I can help you fix it a lot better.

    Thanks so much for your patience!
    Best, Ellen

    Hi Ellen,
    thank you for your reply. The new code is the following:

    .slideshow-window {
    background-color: #b2b2b2;

    However, the addition of !important at the end of the respective line already solved the problem perfectly, everything is fine now :-). Thanks a lot for your help, always much appreciated!

    Best, Claudia
