    Hi there,

    Thank you for creating a great theme. Being a complete novice, it is certainly user-friendly if I am able to basically complete the setup without any external help. I only have a few small issues that I can’t seem to resolve:

    For your reference, my site address: http://www.liezelvanbeek.com

    1. Home Page Slider:
    After some trouble getting the slider to show on the home page, it is now visible. But for some reason, the slider shows up behind the header menu. This does not happen on the mobile view. Also, when navigating to other pages and returning to the home page, the Gallery at the bottom then covers half of the slider… Please assist.

    2. Widget background colour
    How do I change the background colour of the sidebar Search menu to white, instead of black?

    Thanks!

    Liezel

    The blog I need help with is: liezelvanbeek.com

    Hi Liezel,

    I’m glad to hear that you like our theme.

    Here are the answers on your questions:
    1. Q: After some trouble getting the slider to show on the home page, it is now visible. But for some reason, the slider shows up behind the header menu. This does not happen on the mobile view. Also, when navigating to other pages and returning to the home page, the Gallery at the bottom then covers half of the slider… Please assist.
    A: Really strange. This is the first time that I see something like this. It looks like the slider is loaded in the header. Did you contact WordPress.com support staff, since they can see your theme settings?

    2 .Q: How do I change the background colour of the sidebar Search menu to white, instead of black?
    A: Please add this class to Custom CSS:

    body>.widget-area {
    background-color: #fff;
    }

    Thank you,
    – Djordje

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply. See my answers below:

    1. No, I have contacted you first about the issue. I will revert to WordPress Support next, and I hope that it can be sorted out soon.

    Something with the responsiveness of some pages is also strange: On the page Liezel van Beek there is a gallery of four photographs that disappear on full-screen view, but shows up upon shrinking the tab, or viewing it on a mobile screen. Could you please look into this as well and advise a way forward?

    2. Thanks! The sidebar widget now shows up with a white background. But could you also help me to change the page that comes up with the Search icon in the menu bar with a white background?

    Thanks so much!
    Liezel

    Hi Liezel,

    Thank you for the update.

    Here are the answers on your questions:
    1. Q: Something with the responsiveness of some pages is also strange: On the page Liezel van Beek there is a gallery of four photographs that disappear on full-screen view, but shows up upon shrinking the tab, or viewing it on a mobile screen. Could you please look into this as well and advise a way forward?
    A: Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce this issue. Everything is fine for me – I have checked in the multiple browsers.

    2. Q: Thanks! The sidebar widget now shows up with a white background. But could you also help me to change the page that comes up with the Search icon in the menu bar with a white background?
    A: Of course. Please add these classes to Custom CSS:

    .search-wrap {
    background: #fff;
    }

    .site-header .search-instructions {
    color: rgba(0,0,0,0.4);
    }

    .site-header input[type=search] {
    color: #000;
    }

    Thank you,
    – Djordje
