    I have not been able to figure out how to change the site navigation, such as removing pages and changing the placement of the buttons on the top bar.

    The blog I need help with is hikewellsgray.ca.

    Hi there,

    I’m sorry to hear this. There’s a page on WordPress.com about creating Custom Menus: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

    This is what dictates what menu items are in the top bar and what order they are in.

    Does this help at all?

    Regards,

    One more thing: I noticed your site title was a bit hard to read with dark text on top of the background image. This Custom CSS will help with that:

    .site-header {
      position: relative;
    }

    body .site-header::after {
      background: #000;
      content: "";
      display: block;
      position: absolute;
      top: 0; right: 0; left: 0; bottom: 0;
      opacity: .2;
    }

    .site-branding {
      position: relative;
      z-index: 1;
    }

    body .site-header .site-branding a {
        color: #fff;
    }

    It just adds a dark tint to the background image and changes the site title color to white, so there’s a clear contrast between the foreground and background.

    More info about editing Custom CSS can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/

    Hope this helps.
