Sidebar and header pulling into the body of posts

In the last two days, I’ve noticed my theme, Crisp, coming in funny. It’s not consistent though—sometimes it’s fine and sometimes it’s not. When pressing refresh or older posts, the issue usually arises. The sidebar doesn’t always display in it’s correct position. Sometimes it displays at the bottom of the body of the post. I’ve also noticed pieces of the header displaying in the middle of the page. Not sure how to fix this.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey fauxmartha,

    Thanks for letting us know.

I’m seeing this as well. Had to refresh a few times:

My first thoughts are unnecessary HTML that may have been copied into a post or text widget.

Do you have any widgets you think that could be causing the issue? I would try taking some of them out and testing.

    Let me know, thanks!

I tried pulling out 2 widgets I’ve recently made changes to. No luck. If there’s something wrong with the HTLM shouldn’t the problem occur every time? Just wondering. I’m no HTML whiz.

    Hey fauxmartha,

Agreed, just a thought as it could have been related to an unclosed HTML tag, etc.

Having a few people look at this to see what they think. Hope to have an answer for you soon.

    Thanks again!

    Update:

Also, curious to what browser you are using?

Thanks for looking into this! I use Chrome for the most part. But I have to use Safari to upload images into the post. The iframe doesn’t seem to work on Chrome for me, however, it works when I’m logged into wordpress.org (when working on another site).

Thanks for the additional info fauxmartha,

I’ve reported this to the WP.com team and we found the culprit.

It’s a bad advertisement that’s being served and that’s why it only happens a few times here and there.

They told me they’d let me know when the issue is resolved and I’ll pass the message along to you right away.

Thanks again and stay tuned :D
