Side menu should not be there
So I have it set up on the custom theme settings for the resources menu to not be visible on posts under the lindow workshop category. On the most recent post it is showing up and I’m not sure why. I checked the settings to make sure I had it right and the post is categorized correctly, but the menu still shows…
Am I missing something?
This is the only page where the sidebar should show up:
Should be like this:
The blog I need help with is: lindowmachineworks.com
Does your Resources widget has these visibility settings:
Hide if: Category is Lindow Workshop
Yep – that is exactly how I have it set up. I even added a hide if tagged, but that didn’t work either, so I deleted that. It’s still not working.
I’ve tagged this post for a WordPress.com staff member to look at. They should reply shortly.
Thank you for your patience,
I’m not seeing the Resources menu widget in the left sidebar on that post. The only widgets I see are: Recent Posts, Categories, and Archives. Here’s a screenshot: https://cloudup.com/cHJIridaFRu
If you want to hide those three widgets as well, you’ll need to add a hiding condition that covers this post.
Let me know how it goes.
Last night I deleted all the categories saved the post then reselected the categories and saved again. Exact same tags – then the resources went away. Not sure what that was about. This morning I realized I had not selected the right category for the widgets and fixed that.
Thanks – so it’s resolved now, but still had that issue in the beginning that seemed only to sort itself out by re-saving the same categories.
I see – glad you got it sorted.
Thank you Kathryn for your help!
