Side menu Internet explorer display issue
When I use the Blocco theme and my custom menu for the side panel, the menu gets hidden behind the main centre table. This is only an issue in Internet explorer from what I can tell (I was using IE version 8, from memory).

What size was your browser window?
The navigation appears to be showing for me in IE8. With that said, there is a gap around 1018-1060 px wide where the navigation is hidden before it is set to use the mobile nav. If your browser size was 1024×768, which is common on older machines running XP, the navigation was likely hidden. This should just be an adjustment of the CSS rules and/or an update to the Mobile JS script.
In any case, I’ll be addressing this issue for all browsers but I wanted to see if this may be the cause of your issue.
My screen res (is that what you mean by web browser) is set to 1600 x 900.
It’s be great if its fixed for your next patch fix,
Partly :) I’m essentially looking to see how wide your IE browser was when you were seeing the issue. If you open the site in Internet Explorer 8 and make it full screen, the browser should be 1600px wide. In this case, the menu should be showing as it does for me. If the browser is between 1018px -1060px wide, the navigation is hidden.
Hmm, my work uses Internet explorer 7.0. Although, even if I go in full screen mode it stiff doesn’t work.. The boxes also overhang from the table.

WordPress.com and our themes only support Internet Explorer 8 and up. That said, IE8 is quickly entering the chopping block as well.
Ok thanks. You mentioned earlier you were looking to implement a fix for all browsers. Are you expecting it to fix it for retrospective IE versions or no? IE is pox, I wish companies just used chrome or Mozilla :)
The fix may or may not fix issues with IE7 and below, it really depends upon the reason the menu is not showing in IE7. If it’s because of the browser width sizes mentioned above, than it may be taken care of.
