Show Less than 15 on Front Page and Remove Titles on Phones

    I only want to show 10 articles on the front page, but despite the changes to the reading settings, it still shows 15. What can I do?

    Also, I’ve done my best to make sure that each image is an easy indicator of the articles title and I don’t want the title showing on the mobile versions of this site. How can I disable that?

    The blog I need help with is explorminate4x.wordpress.com.

    Also, I just don’t want the tablet version to be responsive. I want it to display just as it would on a computer. How can I make that happen?

    Also, why are the pictures different on the mobile version? Why not use the same dimensions? This theme is almost perfect, but these picture issues are really annoying. I want to keep this theme as it does a lot right, but these pictures are driving me insane.

    Also, I want THIS to be my main page, but I cannot make it a static page because it’s not a “page”. It would be a good workaround, but I don’t seem to be able to figure it out. Help please?

    Hi there – thanks for the message.

    1) Show 10 posts on the homepage. I’m afraid the way the theme is designed it will always show 15 posts when the page first loads.

    2) hide post titles on mobile view – custom css to the rescue:

    @media (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.3), (-o-min-device-pixel-ratio: 2.6/2), (min--moz-device-pixel-ratio: 1.3), (min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.3), (min-resolution: 1.3dppx), (max-width: 599px) {
      .device-touch body.themes-layout-0 .main article.post-archive.has-image .entry,
      .device-touch body.themes-layout-1 .main article.post-archive.has-image .entry,
      .device-touch body.themes-layout-2 .main article.post-archive.has-image .entry,
      .device-touch .main #main-content-wrapper article.post-archive.has-image .entry {
        display:none;
      }
    }

    3) Disable responsive design – custom css again. Note that there’s some elements that can’t be disabled such as the responsive navigation.

    .container {
      width: 1140px;
      max-width: none;
      margin: 0 auto;
    }

    4) The images change proportions as part of being responsive. Once the responsive layout is disabled they will remain the same shape.

    5) you can’t make the homepage a static page.
