Several Questions

    I have purchased this theme 2 days ago and have several questions about the layout. I am not sure if these questions are asked in the forum before.

    1. The sharing buttons are seen below my posts but they are not seen in the front page. In sharing settings, I have clicked the “Show Buttons on Front Page, Archive Pages, and Search Results” but still there is no change.

    2. After two posts, the posts are grouped below. I want all of the posts in the main page centered like the first two post.

    3. Below each post categories and tags are shown. I want only the categories to be shown, not the tags.

    4. The tagline appears above my custom header image. I want to write a tagline for SEO purposes but I don’t want it to appear over the image.

    The blog I need help is null

    The blog I need help with is sirinmutfak.com.

    1. I’ll have to pass that one on to the devs.

    2. That cannon be done on this platform, sorry.

    3. You’ll need to hide that with css.

    4. I see you found the option to remove it?

    Hello Andrea,

    I have added a page (“Ana sayfa”), chose the page type as blog and linked the main page there. I just thought that this solved my first and second question but there came another problem. Right now the next button below the page doesn’t work and only my last 10 posts are seen in the site. I think I will turn back to the original again. I just wanted the site to be like the blog template in the demo but I dont understand why that can’t be done on this platform.

    For the site title and tagline to disappear I added the code below:

    #title {
    display: none;
    }
    #description {
    display: none;
    }

    Can you give me the css code to hide the tags? Thank you for your help.

    It will be like the demo, but in your first post, you wanted to change the post format. The demo does show the split posts.

    To hide the tags:

    .tags { display: none; }

    I also find these things with Firebug. It’s an invaluable tool for looking at the HTML source of your site as well as the css. It will even let you test changes before making them live.

    Thank you Andrea, but I think in my first post I was misunderstood. The format I want to use is the same format with the demo (blog template).

    Is there a way to switch to it?

    You have a specific page set as the home page. This overrides the theme’s home.php template. Go to Settings -> Reading and pick “your latest posts” so the template can do its job. ;)

    Right now you have the blog page set as the home page. Undo that.

    Ok, I have done that.. :) It is the default format, I know. It is shown in the opening page of the demo.

    But in the blog template of the demo all posts (not only the first two) are below each other :)

    Yes, the blog template does not work the same as the front page in the demo.

    That is by design.

    In this theme, it’s an either/or. The blog template is mainly there for using on a separate mage other than the main page.
