Several Formatting Issues

I love the DailyMag theme so far, it’s perfect for my needs!
I’m having a few formatting issues that I’m hoping you can help me with.

On the blog posts, how do I make sure that an author byline is present?
Is there any way to reduce the size of the featured photos? I don’t really want a pic of an old man staring into my soul.

Sorry for the delay getting back to yo.

The author description is created in each user’s profile. Look for the bio section when you edit a user.

The size of the photos is pre-set based on the design. There are constraints, for example the image will show using the full width of the content area. This means that the height is going to be determined by the original ratio of the image. To make the image smaller, you could use a different photo with a more rectangular ratio (6×4) which would then not be as tall.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
