setting up the home page

I can not find clear instructions how to set up the home page properly. i have managed some things but still there are problems. I can’t get the header image to appear (have tried many different photos/sizes, none work, it is black) and do not know how to get my blog title there rather than ‘Home’

A link to a clear explanation of how to set up the blog would be lovely, thank you.

Hi Stephanie,

You can find the Clear News theme documentation here (if you haven’t already): https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/clear-news/support. I have also requested access to view your site so I can see where you are in terms of setup.

For the header image, can you confirm that you’re using .png or .jpg (jpeg), and not something like .tiff?

I’m not sure if you’re referring to ‘Home’ text in the sidebar, or the featured page area, so I will wait for access to comment on that.

Thank you for your reply and sorry for not responding sooner. I had already been looking at the support link you mention above before contacting you. I didn’t find it clear enough, it relies too much on trial and error, for me.

I’m not a complete novice with WordPress themes (have already successfully used two others) but sadly this theme, beautiful though it is, was clearly not for me so I have decided to go with another one.

Thank you very much for your fast response to my query, that was very thoughtful.
