    Hello!

This is a category page, so all you need to do is add the category to your menu and it will display all posts assigned to this category. Keep in mind that you are looking at the wrong demo site however, so your page will end up looking more like this one: https://photographerdemo.wordpress.com/category/featured/.

To add a category to your menu, navigate to the Menus tab and creating a custom menu, hit the + sign to add an item and select from the category field.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you!

    Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for getting back to me. I did that, but they are just going to a drop down menu and when I click on personal portfolio there is nothing in it?

Have I done something wrong, or do I need to change a setting somewhere?

    Regards,
    Colin

    Hi Colin,

Are you trying to setup the Personal Portfolio page like the category pages or using th Portfolio template?

You can make sure the items and main menu items by not indenting them bellow the portfolio item. Make sure they show at the same level and aren’t children to a parent page.

    Thanks!

    Rebecca

    Hi Rebecca,
Sorry for wrecking your head with this!

I have only called the heading of the page Personal Portfolio. It is a default temp page. It is not a portfolio template.

I was looking to have the category’s then show up on the page. So you would click into them as each one would have a different collection of images. People / Serengeti / Zanzibar etc

This is the same idea as in the link you showed me above. Where you have Category and then Permalink to Time Lapse Stream / Permalink to beauty of Venice / Permalink to Band Photography etc.

Maybe what I want to do is not possible with this template?
When I add the category as you told me above, I can only add them above, below or as a children to Personal Portfolio.

    Thanks
    Colin

    Hi Colin,

You can set a blank menu item to which you would then add the categories as sub-menu items. So for example, you would keep the same setup you have, but the Personal Portfolio page would just be a blank item.

This is done by adding a custom menu item and making the URL for this item a hashtag(#). Otherwise, including the various category pages within the other page isn’t possible.

    Does that make more sense?

    Thanks!
