Secondary Menu

There is an inherent issue with this theme, especially in a world where people are constantly using mobile.

This issue has been raised but the topic was closed with no answer it seems. The secondary menu does not appear on mobile sites. This means that for the pages I’ve put in that menu (non content pages such as about and contact), visitors cannot access that material.

This issue is exacerbated by the fact that I have no choice but to have the secondary menu included on the desktop browser, which defaults to featuring those non content pages. This means that if I put all possible navigation options in the primary menu, so that they are visible on mobile, they appear twice on the desktop browser, creating a clunky redundant appearance. And if I go with a streamline execution of the menu navigation, said navigation is incomplete when viewed on mobile.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There really should be some sort of control here: give us the option to have the secondary menu not visible on desktop browsers (if you select no menu it will remain with the list of all your pages), and an option to make that same secondary menu, should we chose to use it, visible on mobile.

    Thanks for raising this concern.

If you create a new menu with zero menu items and assign it to the top menu, it will be hidden from the display entirely. This is a way to make the menu not show on desktop displays.
