Replace the recent stories panelwith a clickable element

    Hello – I cannot find an answer so I am opening a new thread.

    I would like to replace the recent stories panel with a clickable text or image that would lead to another page.

    I know it’s possible to change the background image:

    If you had the custom css upgrade you could hide the recent stories and replace it with an image of some description, but I am afraid there’s no way to change the html that is displayed there.

    However I need a clickable element. With css I have tried to add a content

    #recent :before {
    content: “sample: “;

    The text appears but I don’t think it can be clickable or how to add an Url to that.

    Is there a way to achieve this?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi – I’m afraid you can’t create clickable elements with css, you can only change how things look – not how they act or what they do.

    As such changing the text as you described is the only way to change the content.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I’ve changed my theme.

    However if someone else is wondering how to customize this area, even if you can’t, you can still change the home page for a static one.
    The only problem is that you cannot display the featured posts on the upper box.

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks Binarymoon!
