Removing Featured Image from Individual Page (featured content page)

    Hi there,

    I recently got a solution to remove the featured image on individual ‘post’ pages as seen here:

    https://highvibefilms.co.uk/christmas-lookbook-anoushkalila-social-video/

    However the same CSS does not work on the content within the ‘page’ featured content area as seen here:

    https://highvibefilms.co.uk/showreel/

    As a video production site, I need to make it as pain-free as possible to see our showreel.

    Please can you help me solve this problem? I’d like to remove the featured image from the showreel page, once a user has clicked the ‘showreel’ clickable text on my home page.

    Thanks,

    Adam

    The blog I need help with is highvibefilms.co.uk.

    Hi Adam,

    Please use the following CSS:

    .page-id-39 #page-header {
        background-image: none !important;
        background-color: #fff;
    }

    Let me know if you like it or want more customization.

    Cheers.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for that. It’s almost there! On the ‘posts’, there is an additional line of code that reads:

    height: 150px !important;

    This helps re-size the title area. However, I used this code on the featured content post and it did not re-size as hoped. The area loses the background image and turns white, but unfortunately it stays the same height and does not allow the video to appear higher on the page.

    Is there a way to limit the size of this area? Similar to the posts?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

    Let’s remove it completely and see how it looks, using this:

    .page-id-39 #page-header.cover {
        min-height: 0px;
        height: 0px !important;
        background-image: none !important;
    }

    Thanks for that. Unfortunately that makes the image title not be seen.

    Can it just appear in the exact same manner as this page for example:

    https://highvibefilms.co.uk/christmas-lookbook-anoushkalila-social-video/

    Thanks

    This would work.

    .page-id-39 #page-header.cover {
        min-height: 0px;
        height: 60px !important;
        background-image: none !important;
        background-color: transparent;
        margin-bottom: 20px;
    }

    Cheers.

    Thank you that’s great! What would be the best way to code the alignment for these areas?

    I liked how it was centrally aligned for the code you gave me above on the showreel page.

    Is there a way to centrally align for my other pages, for example:

    https://highvibefilms.co.uk/gluten-freedom-club-food-video/

    Thanks

    Yes, please use the following CSS:

    .entry-header .entry-title {
        text-align: center !important;
    }

    Cheers.
