The hearts are part of the header graphic – it’s all one image. You’d need to make a new image entirely.

That stinks… :(.. is there anyway i can copy that header modify it ( removing the hearts) and then insert it as a custom piece?
Or is there another place I can find on the web that has other headers ( maybe free) to insert of similiar style?

Yes, you can go to Appearance -Header to upload the new one.

    The original image is here

Ok a few more problems I am stuck with. I made a page. When I hit preview it shows it up in the main page. However, if I click the usable space interiors tab up above it shows the space blank … all it says is its a “home” how do I insert this as permanent on the cover page? and one more questions. I thought I had the option to have tabs up on the top of the page with drop downs withj different categories but it doesnt show either. Where would that be? Thank you again for ur help

Yes, you need to download the image onto your Computer and use an image editing program to change it. Then re-upload the header under Appearance -> Menus.

The tabs are navigation menus. Go to Appearance -> Menus to set those up.

yes I am still working on my site. So coupled with tthe two questions above I have yet another one… I did look at the trail of questions but must be comptuer retarded for I am having lots of challenges still. that said to recap the three things I need are , 1. view all my tabs( menus) like you have on teh sample. 2. Be able to change the fon size in the header and 3 Id like to change all the pink print to brown to match the header I changed it to. I have tried everything! I’m going to go cross eyed if I look at any more codes! If you could tell me where the color codes for the things are I would be forever grateful! early merry christmas!

to recap the three things I need are , 1. view all my tabs( menus) like you have on teh sample

You’ll need to set up the Menu under Appearance -> Menus.
    See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

    2. Be able to change the fon size in the header

You are restricted to the dimensions it asks for in Appearance -> Header. It cannot be changed with css alone.

3 Id like to change all the pink print to brown to match the header I changed it to.

That would be finding the css for each section and then adding new css rules to the custom design area. I also find these things with Firebug. It’s an invaluable tool for looking at the HTML source of your site as well as the css. It will even let you test changes before making them live.
