Recent post section not showing

Hello.
I already have a home page with portfolios showing, but the recent post section won’t show. I have post with featured tag, and featured image, but no section that should appear below the portfolios. Something’s not working well here.

The wordpress support helped me to resolve the problem. The set up of the theme must be updated. It’s not very clear how the things work. The home page must not have portfolio template, but home instead. That is why recent post section was not showing.
