'Read more' and social media links on About me

    Hello, I have followed the precise instructions on the support page about setting up a homepage with ‘about me’ which incorporates a reduced text with a ‘read more’ option as well as links to social media and email. However when I add a read more tag although visible on the editing screen never actually works on the page and the full text is always there. Likewise the links to social media and email appear at the very bottom of the page but not in the ‘about me’ homepage as shown in the demo.

    Please can you offer any assistance?

    Hi Matt,

    Sorry for the delay. Here are a few things to make sure of in order to get your About Me page to appear on the homepage similar to the demo:

    1. Make sure the Home page template is applied to your homepage.
    2. Under Appearance > Customize, set homepage to display “static page”. Set your homepage within the dropdown menu of pages here also.
    3. Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme and select the Home Featured Page within the dropdown menu (under logo)
