Questions about customizing the front page theme options

    I have a few options regarding the customization of the front page “theme options”,

    1. Can I edit the order in which the options appear on the front page? For example, can I move recent blog posts to the middle, featured page #1 to the bottom, etc.

    2. If I only want two (instead of three) posts to appear under “Recent Blog Posts”, is there a way to center them on the page?

    3. Is there a way for me to duplicate a theme option in lieu of another? For example, can I have 3 featured pages and no testimonials?

    Thanks in advance!

    The blog I need help with is greenenergyohiotour.org.

    Hi,

    “Can I edit the order in which the options appear on the front page? For example, can I move recent blog posts to the middle, featured page #1 to the bottom, etc.”
    – There are no options in the Customizer to change the order of the Front Page section but we can use a custom CSS to change the order:

    /* The Featured Content section */
    .site-main #featured-content {
      order: 1;
    }

    /* The Brief Text section */
    .site-main .brief-text {
      order: 2;
    }

    /* Featured Page #1 (194 is the page ID) */
    .site-main .featured-page-194 {
      order: 3;
    }

    /* Featured Page #1 (206 is the page ID) */
    .site-main .featured-page-206 {
      order: 4;
    }

    /* The Blog Posts section */
    .site-main .front-blog-posts {
      order: 5;
    }

    /* Testimonials */
    .site-main .front-testimonials {
      order: 6;
    }

    Note, for the Featured Page sections, you’ll need to know the id of the featured page. You can find the page id in your Dashbord: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#how-to-find-the-page-id

    “If I only want two (instead of three) posts to appear under “Recent Blog Posts”, is there a way to center them on the page?”
    – You can change a layout to two columns by using this custom CSS:

    @media (min-width: 992px){
      .front-blog-posts .th-grid-3 > * {
        width: 50%;
      }
    }

    You can also, select a number of posts you want to display in this section in the Theme Options.

    “Is there a way for me to duplicate a theme option in lieu of another? For example, can I have 3 featured pages and no testimonials?”
    – The Front Page template and its options cannot be used for multiple pages. It is designed to be used only once on the site. This template displays sections (Featured Pages, Blog Posts, Testimonials) based on the settings located in the Customizer. These settings are global, meaning it’s not possible to set them separately for each page.

    Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you,
    Taras
