Portfolio: how to sort Project Types

Hi Jeremy! If I select PORTAFOLIO on the menu of my web page, all PROJECT TYPES I’ve created appear below. By default, the first is always “SHOW ALL” and then listed the rest.
I want the order of project types is fixed and is not altered when I include a new project.

I wish that this order be maintained always in my portfolio:

    SHOW ALL – LARGOS – DOCUS – MEDIOS – CORTOS – SPOTS – DOCENCIA – BODAS

    How can I do this?

Thank you very much for your attention!

    Gonzalo

The blog I need help with is gonzalogpalmeiro.com.

    Hi Gonzalo,

I’m afraid the only way to re-organize the filters would be to add numbers to them, e.g. 1. Largos, 2. Docus, 3. Medios. The filters order alphabetically, with no other way to re-order.

    Thanks!

    Hi again Jeremy!

I tried it with the solution you’ve told me, but it does not work. The PROJECT TYPES continue untidy. Alphabetical order is not respected. Even in your demo of DEMAND template, if you realize, it does not show the projects types in alphabetical order. The projects types not seem respond any pattern. Or I can not find the logic. Any solution…?

And one more question: from the main menu of my website it is written “PORTFOLIO” but when selected, below is written “CARPETA” (in Spanish), while at the top continue reading “PORTFOLIO”.
How I can make it appear written “PORTFOLIO” in both cases? (The language of my wordpress interface is set to Spanish) I’ve done a few tests and the only way to match words is if they call “CARPETA”. Then it is written equal on both sides.

    Thanks!

    Hi Gonzalo,

I’ll take a second look at the code, but it looks like it won’t be possible to re-order the portfolio items. This would require a significant change to the theme that would affect all theme users, so it’s not a change we can make. If you’re within your 30 days of purchase, you could consider moving to the self-hosted version of the theme (https://press75.com/view/on-demand), as you would be able to edit the theme code here (or use a plugin), and re-order the items.

For the ‘Portfolio’ text, have you tried altering the page title / menu item (Appearance > Menus)?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jeremy!

Were you able to take that look to see if, at least, can be arranged project types alphabetically?

When you talk about the possibility of change to the self-hosted version of the theme and mention the “On Demand” template (I chose “Demand” ahead of “On Demand” when I was looking for a template), I do not know if you are referring to a template for wordpress.org… but I’m using wordpress.com and I have no advanced knowledge or have time, now, to instruct them. Besides that I like the look of the “DEMAND” template.

Finally, yes, I tried to alter the page title but … just change the title of the top and at the bottom always appears written “CARPETA”.

    Thanks!

    Hi Gonzalo,

I’ve requested access to view your site, re: the Portfolio text.

The filter arrangement we can’t edit, as it would affect too many people.

    Thanks!

    Hi Gonazlo,

Please give this video a watch, and let me know if it helps with the ‘Portfolio’ menu item: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/.

You’ll just need to rename the page, or give it a different menu label, under.

    Thanks!
