Order of Items in a Portfolio

    There used to be a way to arrange the order items display in a portfolio using the old WordPress Admin. However, that tool appears to be gone. How can I assign the order of items within a portfolio now?

    You can access old WordPress admin by appending /wp-admin to your website URL. When there, you should be able to change the order of portfolio items just like you did before.

    The old WordPress admin used to have an area for me to do this. But, I don’t see it anymore. That is the problem I’m having. Can you send me a screen grab or something to show me where this is? Also, is there a way to do this in the new admin?

    Sure thing, Kerry!

    1. Head over to old admin by appending /wp-admin to your site URL.
    2. Edit the page you’d like to edit portfolio items on.
    3. Note that there’s Portfolio Page Options meta box appearing at the bottom right of that screen. This is where you can manage portfolio items and re-order them.

    A small heads-up — our page needs to have Portfolio chosen from the Template dropdown for the meta box to appear.

    As it turns out, this is not possible in the new admin, sorry about that!

    I’m in the old admin. The “Portfolio Page Options” meta box is not there. It used to be. All I see now on the right hand side of the screen are boxes for “Publish”, “Page Attributes”, and “Featured Image”. And, I am looking at a page that uses the “Portfolio” template. Is there a way I can share a screen grab with you?

    I chatted with support and sent them a screen grab. They had trouble figuring out the problem, but did. There is a “Screen Options” tab at the top of the page and my “Portfolio Page Options” was unchecked, so it wasn’t showing up. Anyhow, issue resolved. I hope this helps someone else.
