New to WordPress and completely confused

  I am trying to duplicate the Demo on this theme and I have been unsuccessful! After spending loads of time the last 48 hours trying to figure this all out… I am frustrated LOL!

  I am experienced with Wix and I am wondering if I made a mistake trying WordPress. Here is what it looks like now. I do not want my whole blog entry to be shown on the homepage, I would like featured boxes with summaries of my blog entries. I love the way the demo was broken down into neat and clean categories and I am unsuccessful in achieving this.

  Fellow bloggers, is it better to make each new blog entry a post or a page?

  Hi there,

  It is best to make each new blog entry a post (not page, pages are good for information pages like About, Contact etc.).

  To make the post short in front page, you will need to make user for more tag. You can find the instruction here https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/#adding-the-more-tag.

  I would would my Content area to have a small summary of my blogs instead of showing the whole blog post, is this possible? If so How :)

  To show summary only of the posts in your home page or category page, please use more tag option. You can find the instruction here https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/more-block/#adding-the-more-tag.
