    Hello –

How can I get the photos/visuals on my thumbnails to look like the ones on the Writer, where they fill out the entire space and have the white text overlaying it?

    Thank you,
    Kim

The blog I need help with is: timeandtwine.com

    Hi Kim,

All you need to do is add a featured thumbnail to your posts. When editing a post, look to the right of the screen underneath the categroy options, you’ll see “Set Featured Thumbnail”.

I’d also recommend adding excerpts to your posts so that the text on the front page does not show the images inside the post, alternatively you can turn the excerpts off if you click Appearance > Customize.

    Hi again…

How can you add excerpts without showing the image in the post?

    Hi Kim,

If you don’t have an Excerpts box while editing a post, click “Screen Options” at the top right of the screen and enable it.

Here’s an example of the Screen Options on our demo site. http://cl.ly/image/433h35191L2z.

The excerpts box is where you can enter in a nice clean introduction to your posts.
