My 2-column blog turned into a 3-column blog — I want 2 columns

In both by blogs (visibletrends and adaptingtoclimatechaos), use the Fresh News theme. On both blogs, I used to have two columns — blog postings in a single column on the left, and the widgets column on the right.

Then I decided to get rid of the “search” box in the header. So I went to dashboard-> appearance -> theme options and clicked on the box “Disable header search.” That got rid of the search box in the header BUT it also changed the layout of my entire blog. My blog posts now appear in two narrow columns instead of a single column , with widgets on the right — so I now have a 3-column blog instead of a two column blog. I want my 2-column blog back.

If I put the search box back into the header, I STILL have a 3-column blog.

How do I get back to a two-column blog?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Found the answer. Go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Theme Options -> Layout -> Home Normal Posts – One Column Layout. Check that box.

Then go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Theme Options -> Layout -> Home featured Posts and don’t put in a number.

Save the settings. After that, all posts will appear the same, in one column. Whew.
